Russian frigate 'Admiral Makarov' damaged by Ukrainian missile
In Ukrainian social networks, information appeared that the Russian frigate “Admiral Makarov” was damaged by the Ukrainian missile “Neptune”. A fire broke out on the ship, but the ship remains afloat.
This was reported in the public ‘Dumskaya – News of Odessa’ with reference to unofficial Russian sources:
According to preliminary information, the frigate could not dodge the Ukrainian anti-ship missile “Neptune”. The ship is badly damaged, but remains afloat. Not yet.
If the information is officially confirmed, the frigate “Admiral Makarov” will have a chance to follow the cruiser “Moskva” which sank in the Black Sea after a missile strike by Ukrainian MLRS.
The patrol ship Admiral Makarov is equipped with Kalibr missiles and can deliver missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine.
