Раскол РПЦ

The Cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church expressed disagreement with the position of the Moscow Patriarchate represented by Patriarch Kirill on the issues of the war in Ukraine and approved the independence and autonomy of the UOC.

In fact, the Russian Orthodox Church has completely lost its flock in Ukraine and this is the second split in Orthodoxy in the last 5 years.

The first time there was a schism when the UOC (OCU) received autocephaly from the Eparchy of Constantinople. After that, the ROC completely broke off relations with Constantinople.

Now even the wing of the UOC that remained loyal to the Moscow Patriarchate after 2014 announced its separation from the Russian Orthodox Church.
