Spiders in jar. The conflict between Strelkov and Prigozhin
According to Igor Strelkov, the conflict between him and Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, flared up due to the publication of not the most pleasant words spoken by Strelkov about Prigozhin. The Russian public stocked up on popcorn.
In an interview with NSN, Igor Strelkov called Yevgeny Prigozhin a criminal and a servant:
Prigozhin’s statements indicate that a person with his criminal past and servants should not be allowed into the public arena of the Russian Federation.
Indeed, Yevgeny Prigozhin owned a restaurant where he served Putin and high-ranking guests, which earned him the nickname “Putin’s Chef.”
Indeed, Yevgeny Prigozhin was serving a 13-year prison sentence for a series of crimes.
And in the words of Igor Strelkov there is not a word of lies, but only facts and personal opinion.
Prigozhin replied that his representative Andrei Troshin, chairman of the League for the Protection of the Interests of Veterans of Local Wars and Military Conflicts, offered Strelkov money to stop criticizing the Wagner PMC:
Some time [ago] my representative, Andrey Nikolayevich Troshev, met with him and asked for a small fee to suspend criticism of the Wagner PMC. Criticism of Strelkov was extremely harmful to the guys, and, in particular, they could then be imprisoned for mercenarism.
Prigozhin also invited Strelkov (Girkin) to take part in the hostilities:
I, as the senior head of the Wagner PMC, invite Mr. Girkin to the front to check the correctness of his position and use, as he stated, his combat experience. I suggest that he arrive on the territory of the LPR to be appointed to a senior position, according to his competence, in one of the assault units.
Strelkov replied that he was potentially ready to accept Prigozhin’s offer and come to the LPR to serve in the ranks of the Wagner PMC:
I believe that this kind of proposal should NOT be made through the public media. Or, since they have already been announced, they must be backed up and developed by negotiations in the normal mode, i.e. through official representatives of PMC “Wagner”.
Following these events, a video of a certain Wagner PMC soldier who promised to “drive a shovel handle into Strelkov’s ass” appeared in Russian publics.
Later, Prigozhin gave the name of this fighter: Anton Olegovich Elizarov is one of the commanders of the Wagner PMC. Elizarov’s displeasure was caused by Strelkov’s publication that the Wagner PMC fighters suffered losses and retreated from Bakhmut, where heavy fighting is now taking place.
There were also numerous comments from the fighters of the Wagner PMC with insults to Strelkov and demands to call him to account for the surrender of Slavyansk to the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014.
Recall that at that time Strelkov-Girkin was the Minister of Defense of the People’s DPR and under his leadership the city of Slavyansk was left in front of the advancing troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Strelkov already tried to go to fight in Ukraine, twice, but returned under strange circumstances. According to him, the unit in which he wanted to get was partially disbanded, and then he was simply deleted from the list of personnel.
Prigogine was too lazy to write and gave an audio response in an insulting manner, the general nature of which boils down to the fact that Strelkov will need to arrive in the LPR and answer for his actions before the council of Wagner PMC commanders.
In response to this, Strelkov refused to participate in the Wagner PMC:
Yesterday I had a telephone conversation with Andrey Nikolayevich Troshev about organizing a meeting on my possible participation in hostilities as part of the Wagner PMC. It was about me moving to Lugansk within two days for a personal conversation. To which I made my promise. However, the last public speech by Mr. Prigozhin, in which a stream of the most blatant lies was addressed to me, completely excludes the possibility of my participation in this PMC. I will not be able to serve under the leadership of a man who openly accused me of betraying Russia. Not to mention the dirty insults that accompanied these accusations. Dot.
Later, the former head of Roscosmos, Dmitry Rogozin, also joined in throwing shit at Strelkov.
It is curious that the Russian pro-government media, commenting on this controversy, sided with Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Strelkov was so offended by Prigozhin’s statements that he published as many as 11 posts on this topic. Later, in one of his speeches, Strelkov called Prigozhin “lowered.”
Recently, one of the Russian crime bosses, Sasha Kurara, told the public a story about how Prigozhin, while in a colony for criminals, gave him a blowjob.
Probably the story of the confrontation between Strelkov and Prigozhin has not yet ended. It should be noted that Wagner PMCs practice rather cruel executions of their opponents and opponents.
As for Strelkov-Girkin, he now has a certain political weight in Russia as an ultra-fascist, a critic of the Russian military command and a supporter of radical measures.
All this is reminiscent of the fuss of spiders in a glass jar, when each insect tries to devour its neighbor.
